Connecting to Figma

Figma integration is at the heart of QA Proof's design QA workflow. Connect your Figma account to compare designs with live pages seamlessly.

Setting Up the Connection

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click "Connect Figma"
  3. Sign in to your Figma account when prompted
  4. Authorize QA Proof to access your files
  5. You'll be redirected back to QA Proof once connected

Linking Figma Files to Projects

  1. Open your project settings
  2. Under "Design Sources", click "Add Figma File"
  3. Paste the Figma file URL or browse your recent files
  4. Select the file and click "Link"

Selecting Frames for Comparison

When creating a test, you can select specific frames from your linked Figma files. QA Proof displays a visual browser of all pages and frames in the file.

Auto-Sync

QA Proof can automatically detect when your Figma designs change:

  • Enable "Auto-Sync" in your project's Figma settings
  • QA Proof checks for updates every hour (configurable)
  • When changes are detected, you'll be notified to update baselines

Permissions

QA Proof requires read-only access to your Figma files. It cannot modify your designs. The connection can be revoked at any time from Settings.

Troubleshooting

  • File not showing: Ensure the file is shared with the Figma account you connected
  • Frames not loading: Try refreshing the file link in project settings
  • Authorization expired: Reconnect from Settings → Integrations
