You can cancel your QA Proof subscription at any time. Cancellations are processed by Paddle and take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep paid features until then.
How to cancel
- Open qaproof.io/app/settings/billing.
- Click Cancel subscription on your active plan.
- Confirm. The Billing page now shows a Downgrade scheduled notice with the date you'll drop to Free.
Until that date, nothing changes. You keep your current AI-generation cap, monitor limit, and history retention.
What happens after the period ends
- The subscription scheduler runs on the period-end date and switches your account to Free (10 lifetime AI generations, 1 monitor, 7-day retention).
- Your AI generation counter is preserved — it does not reset to 0. Free is a one-time lifetime trial bucket, not a monthly allowance. If you already used part of the trial before subscribing, that usage carries over. If you used many generations on the paid plan (e.g. 50/100 on Pro), you will be over the Free cap (50/10) and blocked from running more tests until you re-subscribe.
- Existing monitors above the Free limit keep running but you can't create new ones until you delete some.
- Test history older than 7 days is auto-purged at the next cleanup. Download PDFs of important results before then if you want to keep them.
- Your API key remains valid — no need to regenerate.
Changed your mind
If you cancel and want to undo it before the period ends, open the Billing page and click Keep current plan on the "Downgrade scheduled" banner. The cancellation is reverted and you stay on your paid plan.
If the cancellation already took effect, just pick a plan again — your data and API key are untouched, the new subscription starts from the day you reactivate.
